The Senator representing Imo North Senatorial District under the All Progressive Alliance Party platform has been confirmed dead.
The Senator, Benjamin Uwajumogu, was reported to have slumped in the rest room while taking a shower in his residence in Abuja. However, he was further found and rushed to the hospital where every effort to revive him proved futile.
The deceased senator was said to to have flown to UAE for treatment earlier this year, and has been showing signs of recovery from the prolonged illness before this tragedy struck.
