David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido or OBO, has come under heavy fire for the promotional video he did with a young girl promoting the COZA “Twelve Days of Glory”. Most Nigerians believe the video was intentional, and was meant to cause the controversy it is causing right now.
However, the Nigerian crooner has come out on social media to deny his association with COZA. He claimed that he only did a video with the little girl as a fan, and that this current video circulating the internet is doctored. Most people do not believe this attempt to clear his name, as they term this move an afterthought PR save prompted by the backlash from Nigerians.
On the same strain, Tiwa Savage and Wizkid have both taken to social media to voice their hurt and feelings on the incident. Tiwa on Instagram revealed how a supposed fan had met her and asked her to affirm how good God has been to her on camera. She further recorded her displeasure at the deceptive promotional strategy by the church, and also confessed that she neither endorses the church’s events nor has any connection to the church. She also threatened to take legal action against the church if this action is not retracted.
While Wizkid on Twitter simply asserted that he supports no church or pastor.
