Nigerian chef Hilda Baci has broken the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual. She cooked for 93 hours and 11 minutes, beating the previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes set by Lata Tondon of India in 2019.
Hilda Baci, 26, began her cooking marathon on May 11 and continued for four days straight. She cooked over 100 pots of food, including Nigerian favorites like jollof rice, egusi soup, and plantains. She also cooked international dishes like pasta, pizza, and sushi.

Hilda said she was inspired to break the world record after watching a documentary about Tondon. She said she wanted to show the world that women can achieve anything they set their minds to.

Hilda Baci’s cooking marathon was livestreamed on social media, and she received support from people all over the world. She was also praised by Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, who said she had made the country proud.
