Peter Obi Says Tinubu’s Inauguration Will Strengthen Him

Peter Obi believes that the inauguration of President-elect Bola Tinubu will fortify him, according to the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party. On Monday, May 29, Tinubu, who emerged victorious in the February 25, 2023 elections, is set to be sworn in as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and assume the role of Commander-in-Chief.

During a Twitter Space session on Sunday, Obi addressed a question regarding the inauguration and expressed his unwavering commitment to securing what he considers to be his mandate. Recognizing the challenges ahead, he acknowledged the arduous nature of his journey and the disappointments his supporters may feel. Obi emphasized that the inauguration event would serve as a source of strength for him, particularly in the face of a deeply entrenched establishment that he and his team are challenging. He acknowledged the likelihood of facing various obstacles, including allegations and attempts at blackmail, but he asserted his readiness to confront them.

Obi extended his gratitude to his supporters for their sacrifices and called for unity as they navigate the path ahead. Recognizing that no one is perfect, including himself, he urged everyone to stay focused on the goal of transformation, which he emphasized is a gradual process. He encouraged them to continue doing the right thing and not be deterred by setbacks or past mistakes, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and collective efforts.
