TEENAGERS SUPPORT ORGANIZATION’s (TSO) TEN YEARS OF IMPACTS

Teenagers Support Organization (TSO) is celebrating her 10th anniversary this month.

In conversations about projects, individuals or organizations that brought development to Oyigbo community in Rivers State, Nigeria, Dr Mrs Dorathy Umoetok, her husband – Dr Bassey Umoetok and their team will continue to excite Oyigbo people even in years to come. This is as a results of the impacts they have made in the life of young people in the community through their foundation .

What started 10 years ago as a vision to help young people in Oyigbo live a better life has grown to become the most impactful project by an NGO in Rivers state, Nigeria.

In the space of 10 years, though self-funded, TSO has empowered over 2000 teenagers, trained over 500 , awarded scholarship to 120, organized over 15 camps, set up facilities for skill acquisition one of which is the TSO Farm designed to train and encourage young people to embrace agriculture and by extension create job opportunities for them.

Also, during the Coronavirus lockdown, TSO supported over 200 households with food supplies to cushion the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

TSO Capacity Development Program (CDP) is a 6-month intensive training program covering skills and spiritual development.

TSO Educational Support Program is a scholarship scheme for teenagers in secondary and tertiary institutions.

TSO Bible School is a Bible college designed for the spiritual growth of teenagers.

On July 22nd , the foundation will celebrate her 10 years anniversary and its a big deal considering the impacts they have made despite being a self funded project over the years.

THoFUNCAMP 2021

THoFUNCAMP is a Teenagers Holiday Fun (THoFUN) Camp , an annual camping program by TSO that hosts over 300 teenagers across Nigeria.
The theme for this year is REBUILDING WASTE PLACES and it’s features entrepreneurship training, career talks, prayer sessions, and more.
