10 Safety Measures To Observe On Election Day while voting

Today, February 25, 2023, is the much-talked-about Presidential election in Nigeria. This election has raised the political consciousness of Nigerians and we expect a large turnout. Meanwhile, it makes sense to take safety measures to be sure you don’t end up regretting anything.

WEAR A FACE MASK
Wear a face mask. It’s important  to wear a face mask to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Aside from Covid, some might have other communicable sicknesses.
USE HAND SANITIZER
Use hand sanitizer. Use hand sanitizer frequently to keep your hands clean and reduce the risk of infection. 
OBSERVE SOCIAL DISTANCE 

Maintain social distancing. Keep a distance of at least 6 feet from other voters while waiting in line and when inside the polling station.
FOLLOW THE MAIN ENTRY AND EXIT POINTS Follow the designated entry and exit points: Follow the designated entry and exit points to reduce crowding and maintain social distancing.

PEN IN CASE YOU NEED TO WRITE Bring your own pen: Bring your own pen to avoid touching communal objects like pens or pencils.

TRY NOT TO TOUCH YOUR FACE Avoid touching your face: Avoid touching your face while at the polling station.
ISOLATE TO EAT IF YOU MUST EAT Avoid eating or drinking: Avoid eating or drinking while at the polling station.
COVER YOUR MOUTH WITH A HANDKERCHIEF 
Cover your coughs and sneezes: Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your elbow.
STAY AT HOME IF YOU ARE SICK 
Stay home if you are feeling sick: If you are feeling sick, stay home and avoid going to the polling station.

FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS
Follow the instructions of election officials: Follow the instructions of election officials and comply with any safety measures put in place.
