Akwa Ibom State was created in 1987 by President Ibrahim Babangida who arrived Ibom Hall on the first Presidential visit to newly created Akwa Ibom State, 23 September, 1987.
Today, Akwa Ibom is 33 and the state government decided to celebrate state creation anniversary with state flag and emblem.
