If you are like many people outside Port Harcourt, you are probably wondering what “Gospel Gang Carnival” is all about. Well, Gospel Gang Carnival is an end of the year celebration organized by the Gospel Gang Party, also known as Team KO, for Gospel Gangstars in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. This event is a gospel-based event organised for gospel enthusiasts and for the public. It offers the chance to meet new friends, network, unwind, and have fun.
There is also a monthly version of it, termed Gospel Gang Party, and is a miniature version of the event. The carnival usually held at the end of the year, sums everything.
The brain behind Gospel Gang Party team, KO Baba, the Mayor of Pitakwa, created this platform as a launching pad for creatives in Port Harcourt, especially comedians, music artistes and poets. So it is not entirely surprising to see a rich mix of singers, comedians, poets, and spoken-word artistes on the poster of this event. The event has featured the likes of Mercy Chinwo, Kaydee Numbere, Prinz Emmanuel, Amiso The Poet, Akpan Okon, and others.
This year, 2019, is the second edition of the carnival. And this time, it promises to be bigger and better. This edition will feature Games, Face Painting, Awards, Special Recognitions, Musical Performances from some of Nigeria’s finest gospel Artistes, Humour, Dance Performances, Competitions (Eating, Best Dressed, Dance, Karaoke etc), New Talent Discoveries, Free WiFi, Gaming Networking, and the list of awesomeness continues
The date for this event is 23rd December 2019, and it will hold at The Azny Place (Car Park), along Sani Abacha Road, GRA Port Harcourt. For enquiries or sponsorship, you can call:08082818492 or 08124329723
