Labour Party Appoints Hilda Dokubo As Acting Chairman For Rivers State

Nigerian award-winning actress and Labour Party candidate for the Asakga/Akulga Federal Constituency in the just concluded national assembly has been appointed as the chairman Steering Committee in Rivers State following the dissolution of the caretaker committee led by Dienye Pepple.

The Labour Party has established a steering committee, led by Hilda Dokubo, to oversee the Rivers chapter of the party for a duration of one month.

The National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure, appointed a three-member committee, including Pastor Philip Nyechi Loveday as Secretary and Mr Gogo Wellington as Publicity Secretary, to manage the party’s affairs in Rivers State.

This announcement was made in a statement released by the party’s chairman in Abuja on Thursday. The creation of the steering committee follows the dissolution of the previous 3-month Rivers State Labour Party Caretaker Committee, led by Mr Deinye Pepple, by the appropriate authority.

Mr. Gogo Wellington – Publicity Secretary
