Prominent actress Moyo Lawal has responded to the leaked video involving herself and an undisclosed partner that circulated widely last Saturday.
Taking to her Instagram on Sunday, Lawal asserted that the video’s release occurred without her consent, infringing upon her privacy and trust.
She revealed that the video had been recorded with her ex-lover, someone she had intended to marry, and was never intended for public viewing.
Nevertheless, the graceful actress issued a stern warning about pursuing legal remedies against the unauthorized distribution of the video.
Despite this unfortunate incident, Lawal underlined her determination not to let it shatter her resilience. She reflected on her years of maintaining a strict approach to her sexuality, including celibacy, limited dating, and opting for solitude.
She stated, “A private video of mine from a while ago has been inappropriately shared without my consent, violating my privacy and trust. I want to emphasize that this video, recorded with my ex whom I intended to marry at that time, was never intended for public consumption, and its unauthorized distribution breaches my personal boundaries. However, this breach of privacy will be dealt with through legal action.”
“It’s quite ironic because I’ve always maintained a strict approach to my sexuality, even going as far as being celibate for a few years, refusing to date often, and choosing solitude most of the time. Nevertheless, I am determined not to let this unfortunate incident break my spirit.”
“I am grateful for the support and understanding of those who have reached out to me during this challenging time. Please know that your kindness and goodwill mean the world to me.”
