Pictures From Calabar Carnival, The Biggest Street Festival In Africa

The Calabar Carnival started in 2004, by former Governor of Cross Rivers, Donald Duke with the aim of promoting Calabar as a foremost tourism destination while creating economic opportunities in the state.

Today, the carnival is said to be “Africa’s biggest street party.” The event hosts travelers from around the globe and showcases the rich and diverse culture of the people of Calabar and Nigeria.
