StartupSouth to Hold its 7th Annual Conference in Port Harcourt On November 10-11

​The largest startup conference in South​-​South/South-East, Nigeria is back for another year.

The seventh edition of ​#​StartupSouth’s annual event ​will take​ place at Novotel Hotels ​in Port Harcourt, Nigeria ​on November 10 and 11​, 2022​ and is focused on consolidating the regions’ position on the international startup radar. 

​This year’s theme: Remotely Global:​ ​Advancing Subnational Economies from Talents to Corporations​ aims to explore ways to accelerate the transformation of economies​ in the region and upskill talents​ in a sector currently dealing with the complexity of a broad range of new technologies.

The conference will feature high-profile speakers including Funke Opeke, Founder and CEO of MainOne, Tomi Davies, President of the African Business Angel Network, Dr. Chimezie Amadi, Commissioner for Digital Economy and E-Governance in Imo State, Iroghama Ogbeifun, CEO Starzs Investments Company Ltd, Ebele Enunwa, Founder and CEO Sundry Markets Ltd and Kingsley Eze, Founder & CEO, Tenece and more. 

​​Sessions will dive into policy, human capital and regional development, entrepreneurship, technology, agriculture, health, education and much more. 

The conference will also feature a Networking Hangout Party, and an Award Gala offering networking opportunities and access to investors for early stage founders building high growth ventures in Nigeria.

In a statement, the Convener, Uche Aniche said, “we are excited to return back to Port Harcourt for the 7th edition of the conference as we begin to consolidate the event brand’s influence within the sub-region. Given that we are in an election season, frontline  gubernatorial aspirants from Rivers and Enugu states will be discussing their digital economy agenda at the conference.”
