Victory Bakare’s Early Life and Education

Victory Bakare was born on July 28, 1996, in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. Growing up as the son of Archbishop Dr. Solomon Gbakara, the founder and general overseer of GOD’S WILL MISSION INC, Victory was exposed to music from a young age. As a pastor’s child, he had the privilege of access to musical instruments, which allowed him to develop his skills as a worship leader and musician. Alongside his musical pursuits, Victory pursued higher education and attended Benson Idahosa University, where he studied Law. He successfully completed his studies and graduated in September 2022.

Music Career

Victory’s musical journey began in church, where he honed his talents as a worship leader. His exceptional vocal abilities and passion for music propelled him to explore a career as a professional singer. In May 2020, he released his debut single, “Atmosphere Changer,” which showcased his unique style and remarkable vocal range. The song garnered positive reviews and established Victory as a promising artist in the Nigerian music scene.

In April 2022, Victory followed up with another captivating single titled “Sound.” The song further solidified his presence in the industry, earning him recognition for his distinctive sound and songwriting abilities. Later that same year, in September, he participated in the Kingdom Voice Talent Hunt Show, where he reached the final stage of the competition. His performances captivated audiences and showcased his exceptional talent and stage presence.

On July 16, 2023, Victory Bakare achieved a major milestone in his music career by winning Nigerian Idol Season 8. Throughout the competition, he consistently delivered outstanding performances, impressing both the judges and the voting audience. As the deserving winner, Victory received a remarkable array of prizes worth N100 million. These included a cash prize of N35 million, a brand new SUV and refrigerator, a sponsored trip to Cape Town, a one-year supply of Biggie drinks, and a DStv premium decoder, among other rewards.
