ADOKE: 37BN MAY NOT BE ENOUGH FOR NASS RENOVATION

Rawlings Agada, the Director of Information, National Assembly Abuja, has revealed that the 37 Billion Naira budget approved for the renovation of the National Assembly Complex may not be enough for the project.

Despite the outcry of Nigerians on the exorbitant sum approved by President Mohammed Buhari for the renovation of the Nation’s legislative, the Director has stated that there might be a possibility of an increment to the approved sum as the complex is already in shambles, and also, that the dome has been leaking for years. He further stressed the need to properly repair and renovate all degraded parts to avoid worsening the state of the building in years to come.

Subsequently, the Senate President-Ahmed Lawan is yet to inaugurate a team to oversee the renovation project in the year 2020.
