Labour Party, created in 2002 and formerly known as Party for Social Democracy (PSD) is one of the parties registered by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The party became popular when the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, joined on 27 May 2022 after he quit the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a bid to run for the 2023 Nigerian presidential election.
