The Super Eagles have moved four places up to the 31st spot on the recent FIFA November ranking. The Nigeria National Football Team gained 12 more points in addition to the 1481 points they had last month. This progressive movement is a result of their sustained impressive performance in their recent matches and friendlies. In September this year, they drew 2-2 with Ukraine in an international friendly, and in October, they also drew 1-1 with Brazil.
In the group stage of the African Nations Champions qualification matches, they beat Benin 2-1, and Lesotho 4-2. The Super Eagles still remain number 3 in Africa, behind Senegal and Tunisia, in number 1 and 2 spots respectively.
