Naira Diary Announces Founders & Creators Hangout in Lagos, Bringing Africa’s Builders Into One Room on November 14, 2026

0

Naira Diary is set to bring together a carefully selected group of founders, creators and emerging leaders from across Nigeria’s entrepreneurial and creative ecosystem for the Naira Diary Founders & Creators Hangout — Lagos, scheduled to take place on November 14, 2026, in Lagos.

The gathering is designed around a simple idea: some of the most valuable conversations about building businesses, creating culture and shaping Africa’s future do not happen on large conference stages. They happen in smaller rooms, among people who are actively doing the work.

Rather than following the traditional conference format, the Naira Diary Founders & Creators Hangout will create an intimate setting for founders, creators and ambitious builders to connect, exchange experiences and engage directly with some of the people whose work is already influencing business, media, technology and the creative economy.

A Room Built Around the Right People

Attendance will be limited to 150 carefully selected participants, making the composition of the room as important as the programme itself.

The intention is to bring together people with shared ambition, complementary experiences and a genuine interest in building meaningful relationships beyond the event.

At the centre of the gathering will be conversations with exceptional founders and creators, bringing perspectives from different parts of the business and creative ecosystem.

Meet the Five Voices

The programme will feature five exceptional voices from different areas of Africa’s business, creative and media ecosystem, bringing practical perspectives on building ventures, brands, careers and communities.

Prince Adeyinka is a creative entrepreneur, founder of Happy Coffee and convener of the Lagos Coffee Festival.

Henshaw Jacobson is a media consultant, storytelling strategist and entrepreneur, and the founder of Naira Diary and QliqMedia. He works across media, PR, digital marketing and storytelling, helping brands and individuals communicate, grow and make an impact.

Beyond the Highlight Reel

The conversations will examine the realities behind building successful ventures and careers in Africa, moving beyond the polished version of entrepreneurship often presented publicly.

Discussions will touch on entrepreneurship, creativity, media, marketing, technology, business growth, digital monetisation and community building, while giving participants an opportunity to hear first-hand accounts of the decisions, challenges, failures and breakthroughs that have shaped the journeys of the people in the room.

For Naira Diary, however, the value of the gathering extends beyond the speakers.

The event is being curated to encourage genuine interaction among participants. Founders will have the opportunity to meet other entrepreneurs at different stages of their journeys, while creators can connect with people building brands, businesses, platforms and communities across different sectors.

The expectation is that some of the most valuable outcomes may happen outside the formal conversations — through introductions, shared ideas, potential collaborations and relationships that continue long after November 14.

From Digital Community to Physical Room

That approach reflects the broader role Naira Diary has played in creating conversations around entrepreneurship, business and the people building within Africa’s rapidly evolving economy.

The Lagos Hangout is intended to take that community beyond digital interactions and into a physical space where members can meet, exchange perspectives and build stronger connections.

Who Can Attend?

Participation will not be based simply on a first-come, first-served basis.

Members of the Naira Diary community interested in attending will be required to submit an expression of interest, either as a Founder or Creator, through the official event page.

Applications will be reviewed as part of the process of putting together a diverse and relevant group of 150 participants.

On November 14, Lagos will provide the setting for a different kind of gathering — one built less around presentations and more around people; less around networking for its own sake and more around meaningful connections; and less around talking about what Africa could become than bringing together some of the people already working to build it.
